The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) confirmed Thursday that it has developed leads and issued subpoenas in the case of a missing couple and their business associate who disappeared two months ago.
According to HEAWDWIND NEWS authorities have identified as persons of interest several individuals who previously dealt with the couple. The CIDG declined to reveal details but said it is pursuing “a number of strong leads.”
Henry Angelo Pantollana, 39, his wife Margie, 38, and their associate Richard Cadiz were last seen leaving their condominium in Taguig City in an SUV bound for Pasig City for a supposed business transaction. Relatives said the couple brought an undisclosed sum of money and a luxury watch worth ₱20 million. Henry was engaged in the beauty products and stem cell trade.
Their families reported the disappearance two weeks later, first to CIDG and later to the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC). PAOCC chief Undersecretary Gilbert Cruz said the couple’s valuables may have been a motive. Investigators later tracked the Pantollanas’ SUV to Cavite on July 6, tailed by a white van.
" Authorities also discovered ATM withdrawals amounting to millions of pesos made after the disappearance in Metro Manila and Region 3. CIDG has subpoenaed stall and shop owners to clarify transactions linked to the case."
The Pantollano family has offered a ₱300,000 reward for information leading to the victims’ recovery.
